A 9 DAY SAFARI ITINERARY TO MURCHISON FALLS, KIBALE, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND BWINDI AND NATIONAL PARK


Day 1: Kampala- Murchison falls

Departure from your Hotel early morning with your guide to Murchison Falls National Park. Have lunch en-route and Continue through the park stopping at the top of the falls. The wonderful sight of the Nile River, the world’s longest river plunging through a narrow gap and winding its way through the park is an unforgettable experience. Following a game drive to view hippos, buffalos, elephants as well as Birdlife, arrive your lodge early evening.

Day 2: Boat trip

Have an early morning game drive before breakfast, to the rolling plains to view Lions, Hartebeest, Elephants, primates, Buffalo, Birds and Giraffe. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and later lunch. In the afternoon, have a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls where down river to the delta where the Nile empties into Lake Albert and views of hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles and allows you more bird watching of species like the shoebill, colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks. Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park


Depart for a half day drive west via Mubende toKibale National park, passing though verdant countryside, traditional homesteads and farms. With a scenic drive of the fabulous "Mountains of the Moon,” have a stop over at Fort portal town for lunch.Continue to the lodge, check-in and have an afternoon off relaxing.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

This day after breakfast, report to the ranger station at 08.00am to track habituated chimps. Start your search for Chimpanzees and over 13 species of primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, Birds and other primates. Have a wonderful experience viewing other mammals including smaller elephants, giant forest hog, buffalo, and antelope species. The guide will provide detailed explanations on flora and Fauna to ensure that your walk is both enjoyable and informative. We will depart to Kampala arriving in the early evening.

Day 5: Kibale -Queen Elizabeth National Parks

Early morning after breakfast, continue with a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. A scenic view of the mystical Rwenzori Mt. Range and a game drive en route will reward you with views of leopard, Spotted Hyena, lion, elephant, buffalo, bird species and primates.

Day 6:

Have an early morning game drive which will provide opportunities to see Spotted Hyena, buffalo, Uganda Kobs, Defassa Waterbucks, elephant, leopard, antelope, lion and several bird species. In the afternoon, drive back to the lodge for a late breakfast. After breakfast leave the lodge for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel with the largest concentration of Nile Hippos, a host of countless bird species, crocodiles and water bucks.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following a morning breakfast, we will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the southern sector of the remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. It’s a beautiful sight to see the lions draped from the trees and we will see hippo, buffalo and topi among other species. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)

Day 8: Gorilla trekking

Have early morning breakfast and after a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the
undergrowth and thick creepers of the dense rain forest to track for these endangered mammals. Only a few of these Gentle giants have been habituated for humans to visit, making tracking of these elusive apes in their natural habitat both a privilege and an adventure. You will also have an opportunity to view other wildlife including primates, butterflies and Birds. After 1 hour allowed with the giants, return to the lodge.

Day 9: Bwindi-Kampala

The day begins with an early breakfast and after breakfast return to Kampala at your own convenience. Lunch en-route.
