A 7 DAY PRIVATE SAFARI ITINERARY TO BWINDI, QE AND KIBALE NP

Day 1 
Depart from Kampala by road with your safari guide early morning, south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stop-over at the Equator for photographic opportunity as well as an enjoyable and informative talk. Have Lunch in Mbarara, and continue through the Kigezi Highlands known as the Switzerland of Uganda, the scenic drive through banana plantations, views of the great Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo as well as heads of Ankole cattle take you to the biggest Home of mountain gorillas, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 2  
Wake up Early morning to the sounds of the rain forest for a hearty breakfast. After a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the thick creepers and undergrowth of the dense rain forest to track the endangered mammals. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense with numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.
Have an amazing experience watching and photographing the gorillas in the forest, listening to them marvel and grumble to each other. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful creatures left, which is allowed for only 1 hour!

Day 3       
We will depart early with our packed lunch for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. Ishasha is a remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park. There is an opportunity to view buffalo, topi, hippos and many more species. After checking in and having some time to relax. Have an afternoon game drive which will provide opportunities to see Spotted Hyena, buffalo, Uganda Kobs, Defassa Waterbucks, elephant, leopard, antelope, lion and several bird species.

Day 4
Early morning, head for the chimp trek in Kyambura Gorge. Have a close encounter with these delightful apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature. Return to the lodge for lunch and then set off for a Visit to the crater lakes region, Baboon cliffs and Katwe Salt works, for a glimpse into traditional salt mining.
After this wonderful afternoon, a slow drive back to Lodge.
In the afternoon, drive back to the lodge for a late breakfast. After breakfast leave the lodge for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel with the largest concentration of Nile Hippos, a host of countless bird species, crocodiles and water bucks. Return to the lodge.

Day 5       
Following breakfast and a morning game drive, depart to Kibale Forest National Park with a scenic drive of the fabulous "Mountains of the Moon,” have a stop over at Fort portal town for lunch. Continue to the lodge, check-in and have an afternoon off relaxing.

)

Day 6       
This day after breakfast, report to the ranger station at 08.00am to track habituated chimps. Start your search for Chimpanzees and over 13 species of primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, Birds and other primates. Have a wonderful experience viewing other mammals including smaller elephants, giant forest hog, buffalo, and antelope species. The guide will provide detailed explanations on flora and Fauna to ensure that your walk is both enjoyable and informative.

Day 7
After Breakfast, we will depart to Kampala arriving in the early evening.
