3 DAYS ITINERARY FOR SIIPI FALLS ON MOUNT ELGON
Day 1
Depart at 7.00am with your safari guide for Sipi Falls on the slope of Mount Elgon. Have a scenic drive through Mabira forest, sugar cane and tea plantations. Have a stop over in the lively bustling market town of Mbale town to look at Bugisu architecture. You will then reach the three beautiful falls called the Sipi Falls on the foothills of the 4,321m high extinct volcano Mount Elgon, which in prehistoric times stood taller than Kilimanjaro.
Overnight at Lacam Lodge/Sipi falls camp.
Day 2
Enjoy Breakfast at your lodge with beautiful and magnificent views, and then set off for a hike on Mount Elgon. The abseiling which takes about 4 hours is a unique and thrilling experience. This takes you to the Sipi falls while going down the edge of a 100 meter cliff.
Return to your lodge for lunch, and then take a trip later in the afternoon to visit the Nyero Rock Paintings and possibly walk up to the neighbouring Manyara Caves with opportunities to view over 300 bird species, small antelopes, forest monkeys, buffalos and elephants.
Overnight at Lacam Lodge/Sipi falls camp.
Day 3
You will then depart Sipi falls after breakfast, to visit the mighty “source of the River Nile,” in Jinja. Have lunch at Jinja Nile resort or Sunset hotel and then continue to the Bujagali falls for beautiful views of the waterfalls well-known for white water Rafting, as well as cultural activities like Acrobatic, Dances, etc
Depart for Kampala and arriving back to Kampala in the evening.
